The team is excited to invite guests to the highly anticipated launch event for the Papangaio Te Wharangi Manawatū Estuary Management Plan 2025-2035. This event will provide an opportunity to bless the future protection of the Manawatu Estuary.
Over the past two years, a series of successful workshops have taken place, bringing together statutory managers such as DOC, Horizons Regional Council, Horowhenua District Council, Iwi, and various local community groups. The result is the publication of this groundbreaking plan, which will be celebrated during the launch for the internationally recognized Ramsar Site that includes the Manawatū Estuary.
