Submissions close 28 March 2021

The centrepiece of the Government's 2019 Zero Carbon Act was the setting up of the Climate Change Commission. Their eagerly anticipated first report advises the government on every aspect of our climate change response. This work touches on almost every aspect of our lives. We encourage everyone to take a look, think about what's needed to ensure a transition to a low-emissions, climate-resilient, thriving Aotearoa, and visit the website to have your say. You don't have to be an expert, and you don't have to fill in all the boxes. Here are some resources you may find useful when making a submission.

Environment and Conservation Organizations of Aotearoa New Zealand  published some initial comments on the report, and a short article on car import standards.

Zero Waste Network New Zealand has also produced an overview, a cheat sheet, and in conjunction with several other organizations, a template for making submissions.
