With "Creative Upcycling" for their motto, Upcycling Club 1 aim to help people in Palmerston North as well as surrounding areas create something beautiful and useful using materials that might otherwise go to waste. Paper craft, fabric craft, play-dough; make greeting cards, puzzles, decorations and more. They also use natural materials such as plants, stones, dried flowers and feathers. Reuse waste materials, eg. learn to make draught stoppers out of your old jeans. Participants not only enjoy opportunities for arts and craft, but also they learn about conservation and environmental issues.

When: Second and fourth Tuesdays of each month. The first workshop for this year starts on Tuesday, 11 February.

For whom: Both adults and children After 3:00 quite a few school children come, so, it gets crowded and noisy. For the people who want peace and quiet, 1:30 to 3:00 is a good time.
